I have a wife (Sarah), a daughter (Margot), and two cats (Big Kisa and Little Kisa).

I have lived in New Zealand for twelve years. I was born in Buffalo NY, and was educated in the United States.

When I'm not researching/teaching, I enjoy running, hanging out with my family, and dangling strings in front of my cats.  I also enjoy reading widely in the natural and social sciences.
