I am a senior lecturer at  Victoria University in New Zealand. I am interested in how people become religious, and what it does for them.  I use various means to address this question, including experiments, quasi-experiments (field studies), and theory-based explanation (abduction).  Most of my work is informed by evolutionary biology. I don't believe in area studies or disciplines. I have questions, and seek appropriate methods for addressing them, no curricular holds barred.
